Macca asked me how I came to meet Jochen and so I told him - I was lying on my stomach on the breeder's front lawn, this puppy waddled up to me, I tickled his chest and asked him if he would be my new partner. This puppy yodelled at me and has done so ever since. Macca was not sure whether to believe me or not but.... it is TRUE! We had a good laugh and Macca was great.
Ours is the house of horrors at the moment. Whilst I was talking to Macca, I was tending to my husband Peter who had fainted and cracked his head against the sharp edge of the door. Head wounds really bleed so there was blood everywhere. Peter was pale, cold and clammy. The cut on his head is nearly 10 cm long and quite deep.
So imagine that scene whilst I had the phone to my ear talking to Macca about how Jochen yodelled at me as a baby puppy! It was truly surreal.
Peter is still in emergency for observation, a CT scan and an x-ray but all indications are that he will be fine.
My hand and fingers, which I badly sprained and bruised last Tuesday, is slowly getting better. I can even bend the three middle fingers slightly and the swelling on the back of my hand is much reduced. My wrist is still a bit sore.
In two weeks (6th August) Jochen and I fly out to Switzerland!!!
